We have seen a ton of Yamaha XS650 builds, and one of our favorites is from right here at the shop – Danny’s build. Our new friend Tom seems to have done it up right as well, and in a similar vein to Danny’s (non-cafe seems to be the link). Opting for a slightly more “modern” model, this XS has some great lines.
We are currently working on a more modified, suped-up Honda CB750 over at Northeast Sportscar. But it’s always nice to see a pristine version in tact….
If the color of this bike was stock, I’ve never known about it. But I have to say that it’s a fine specimen, and obviously temptation was avoided to turn this into a full-blown Cafe Racer.
Bars have been changed to a slightly lower version, probably making it a bit more comfortable to ride.
Kudos to the owner for not chopping the hell out of this beauty!
After a 2 year round trip to Vermont, it looks like MotoPreserve will once again be settled in the quaint and quiet confines of Williamsburg, Brooklyn….
If all works out, the new digs will be ready for custom work, parts and general moto-mayhem. Looking forward to having a comfortable space again as the winter sets in.

A while back, we posted about a Ducati 900 GTS that we stumbled upon while visiting Gowanus, Brooklyn. Turns out the son of the original owner saw the post, and was kind enough to send us some shots of the bike in the past, as well as some classic old motorcycle pics.
