Although I thought that I would begin tearing into the new project Honda CL360 yesterday, I decided to simply smother every bolt in penetrating oil.  There are some pretty rough sections of this bike, and while brute force can go a long way, the use of a little oil in the right places can help…

Looks like Friday will be the big day, when the bike will be torn down to the frame.  Every part are is coming off, the bike will be stripped bare, in preparation for grinding off extraneous parts of the frame, so it can be sent to powdercoating.

From the bit of digging I did, you can see that spiders have had their way with this baby.  A little bonus is that I noticed the tube stem cap, on the front wheel, is Ruby encrusted…or maybe that’s not a real Ruby?

This Honda CL360 is looking more intimidating, the more I look at her, but I am up for the challenge.  I think the key to a donor bike like this is to focus on one thing at a time.  If you are always looking at the big picture, the view gets washed out by the sheer magnitude of the project.
