After months of cleaning, struggling, tweaking and cursing, Angie’s Honda CB 350 rebuild is nearly complete.  Unlike Ruby’s Honda CL 350, this bike needed the entire cosmetic look of the bike refreshed, having been purchased with a coat of rust that covered the entire bike…

Angie had a pretty solid vision for this bike right out of the gate: powdercoat for the frame, rims and a few misc parts, fresh paint for the tank, fenders and side covers, and a rebuild for the wheels, carbs and some electrical.  This Honda CB 350 had been found in the woods behind the previous owner’s house, so the blanket of rust had to be dealt with before anything could be done.

Angie had some issues with ordering spokes from an overseas eBay seller, getting a kit that had the wrong size spokes, despite being sold as fitting her bike.  Another kit ordered, and she was relacing the powdercoated rims to the polished hubs.  Great looking, and a nice touch for this build.

Our good friend Hyem, who does motorcycle painting, helped out with the tank, side covers and the fenders.  The paint looks gorgeous, and the new color scheme should really make this bike pop in the city flush with Honda CBs.

Finally, the exhaust back on the bike, and the whole project came together.  It looks like a bike again – and very soon, will be scooting Angie down the road, turning heads as she goes…

Bam!
