Kawasaki Versys: get outside the city!

I’ve been looking forward to this trip all summer. A ride out of the city, and back up to Vermont, where the mountains are green, and the roads are twisted…

There are a few things you recognize this time of year, the minute you ride just 30 miles outside the city. First, the temperature drops about 10 degrees, which made wearing all the gear much less miserable. The second is, there’s always a black SUV, with tinted windows, crawling at 55mph in the fast lane, preventing you from traveling the speed you prefer. Not sometimes, ALWAYS…

Despite hugging the interstates most of the way, just the fact that I was riding outside the city was good enough. Day after day, mile after mile, I ride nothing but city streets. Now, to let loose on the open road, still thick with traffic, but enabling me to twist the throttle a bit, and let ‘er rip. ┬áThis is what you wait for…
