This particular model, the Moto Guzzi V10 Centauro, was designed by Italian architect Luciano Marabese, to celebrate the manufacturer’s 75th anniversary.  Equipped with Marchesini alloy wheels, dual 320mm floating front Brembo rotors, four-piston Brembo Gold Series calipers, and a Bitubo steering damper, this bike was decked out in style.  While I am sure considered top-shelf quality at the time, the tragically named White Power front and rear suspension rounded out this high-end bike.

The air-cooled 992cc engine, considered by some to be the best Moto Guzzi had made up to that point, produces a claimed 94bhp, and includes an oil cooler.  At 493lbs, you would think that the Moto Guzzi V10 Centauro was quite the pig, but tests at the time considered it nimble at low speeds, due to the torquey engine.

The problem noted at the time of release was the uncomfortable rider position, with flat bars and high, forward position of the pegs.  There is no question this bike is unique looking, and possibly something best left for turning heads, and less about the performance on the road.  But if you are looking for a bike that stands out in a crowd, this might be something worth looking into…
