Walking around Williamsburg the other day, I spotted this little gem for sale.  It’s a 1972 Honda CB100, ripe for scooting around NYC…

1972 Honda CB100: Perfect for city?

Not sure what the going rate is for a 1972 Honda CB100…

This 1972 Honda CB100 is a fine example from the final year of production.  The first run of this model was released in 1970, and only continued for a short 3 model years.  The 1972 Honda CB100, like all model years, came equipped with a whopping 99cc, 4-stroke engine, complete with Overhead Cam.  It’s 5-speed transmission delivering happy riders to a top speed of 64mph.

Weighing in at only 202lbs, this bike must be a blast to ride, especially weaving in and out of traffic in cities around the world. This model seems to be the CB, designated the “Super Sport.”  From 1970 to 1973, there was a scrambler model, the Honda CL100.  That bike came with the telltale upwept pipes.

This bike is for sale at $1600, which may be high, but I’m not sure.  It looks to be in mint condition, and may be worth it for a smaller rider…
